FAW motors increases prices in Pakistan yet again
Amid the recent devaluation of Pakistani rupee against dollar, Al Haj FAW motors has once again increased the price of its vehicles in Pakistan for the fourth time this year.
“The prices of all FAW vehicles are subject to change without notice and prices prevailing at the time of delivery shall apply if rates of existing duties/taxes are increased or new duties/taxes are levied by the government then such increases would be paid by the customer prior to delivery of the vehicles,” stated the company.
Earlier this week, the Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC), operating as Toyota Indus, had also increased the prices of its cars. This was also the third time that the IMC have increased the prices of its vehicles this year.
As per local media reports, the auto industry is particularly sensitive to rupee depreciation because of its high dependence on imported raw-material and parts that become expensive owing to fall in rupee’s value against major international currencies.
