Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre's organised a cake cutting ceremony in the hospital to celebrate 20th year of hospital. A large number of cancer patients, hospital management and employees were present on the occasion.
It may be recalled that SKMCH&RC opened its doors for cancer patients on 29th December 1994, and in line with its mission, the hospital has continued to provide diagnostic and treatment facilities to the patients for the last 20 years without any discrimination.
The hospital has spent almost Rs 15 billion on the treatment of cancer patients since its inception. The hospital management is very keen to open the doors of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital Peshawar for cancer patients as soon as possible.
On the occasion, Chairman Board of Governors, SKMT, Imran Khan in his message, said that Pakistani nation is to be congratulated for this huge success as they not only helped in making this hospital a reality but also continuously participated to keep it running till date. He hoped that whole nation will once again step forward to help us complete Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Peshawar.
Dr Faisal Sultan, CEO, SKMCH&RC, on the occasion said that the success of this journey is because of the support and tireless efforts of our supporters and also the employees of this hospital.
