On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 2.571 billion as compared to PKR 1.540 billion reported on Wednesday, an increase of 67 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 30 percent to 16,625 from 12,813. PMEX Commodity Index increased by 0.13 percent and closed at 2,607. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 1.682 billion, a 59 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 781 million) and silver (PKR 108 million).
