The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani Tuesday awarded Charsadda and D I Khan police on arresting a dreaded terrorist involved in different terrorist attacks and proclaimed offender decamped from the central prison in D.I. Khan in a ceremony held at CPO.
According to details the Charsadda police had arrested a suspect during a naka-bandi after information. He was later identified as Amanullah Khurasani Alias Irfan Khurasani S/O Abdul Raziq wanted to Shabqadar police in 13 different terrorist cases. He entered the settled area from Mohamand Agency to carry out terrorist attacks. Similarly the Shabqadar police in another action had gunned down two terrorists who after throwing hand grenades on police party tried to flee the scene on motor cycle. Police had also recovered hand grenades and pistols form their possession.
While the DI Khan police after an encounter had arrested a proclaimed offender Altaf S/O Abdul Rashid who decamped from the central prison DIK during jail break. The police had also recovered two Kalashnikovs, 17 magazines and 250 cartridges. Addressing on the occasion the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the well calculated and result oriented action of the awardees in these cases. The IGP pointed out that the in time action of the police have saved the people form big catastrophe and directed the awardees to keep the same momentum of action against the terrorists and foil their nefarious design with iron hands.
The awardees included DSP Abdul Rashid, SHO Gul Shed Khan, constables Gul Zaman, Shahab and Fayaz of Charsadda police and head constables Muhammad Tehseen and Akhtar Munir and constables Haji Sher Akbar and Aqil Ahmad Shah of DI Khan police.
