Sindh government amends LDA Act

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has assented the "Larkana Development Authority (LDA) (Amendment) Act, 2014". Through this act an amendment to Section 4 of the Sindh Act No. XLIX of 2013 has been made, says a handout issued here on Wednesday. As per the amended Act, "one local member of the Provincial Assembly or as the case may be an eminent person of the local area to be nominated by the government" could be nominated as Chairman. Furthermore,
"One prominent lady having background in social welfare and women development" could be nominated as member of the Larkana Development Authority (LDA).
