Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Principal Professor Anjum Habib Vohra has said that security of patients, their attendants and hospital staff has been beefed up through increase in number of police cops of police post attached with the hospital. Moreover, the post of in-charge of police picket has also been upgraded and now a sub-inspector would be the in-charge of the police post instead of an ASI, he said.
The Principal said that in accordance with the security policy of the Punjab Government, more vigilance and safety measures were being taken in the hospital and he also held a meeting with CCPO Lahore in that regard.
He stated that on the direction of CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations had immediately ordered to post more staff at LGH police post. He said that increased police force would continuously patrol within the premises of hospital in order to take action against any suspicious activity to safeguard patients and staff.
