The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has dismissed four customs officers including examiner, inspectors and superintendent from services with immediate effect. In this regard, the FBR has issued four notifications here on Wednesday.
The FBR has taken action against Ejaz Ahmed, Examiner (BS-16), Model Customs Collectorate of Export, Karachi; Muhammad Sharif Watto, Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement, Lahore; Nawaz Ali Shaikh, Superintendent (BS-16), Regional Tax Office, Karachi and Shahid ul Hassan, Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Lahore.
According to the notification, whereas disciplinary proceedings under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Ejaz Ahmed, Examiner (BS-16), Model Customs Collectorate of Export, Karachi vide Charge Sheet No.10(1)/2013-Cus-III dated 24.10.2013. Dr Jawwad Uwais Agha, Collector, MCC Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Karachi was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct inquiry on account of various acts of omission and commission committed by the accused officer constituting Inefficiency and Misconduct .
The Member (Admn) being the Authority in the case, after having considered all aspects of the case and the recommendations of Authorized Officer has therefore imposed the major penalty of "dismissal from service" upon Ejaz Ahmed, Examiner under rule 4(1)(b) (iv) of the Govt. Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with immediate effect.
Through another notification (No.0029-C-III/2015), whereas disciplinary proceedings under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Muhammad Sharif Watto, Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement, Lahore vide Charge Sheet No.17(13)Cus-III/2013 dated 04.11.2013. Saira Agha, Additional Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Lahore was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct inquiry on account of various acts of omission and commission committed by the accused officer constituting Inefficiency and Misconduct .
The Member (Admn) being the Authority in the case, after having considered all aspects of the case and the recommendations of Authorized Officer has therefore imposed the major penalty of "dismissal from service" upon Muhammad Sharif Watto, Inspector under rule 4(1)(b)(iv) of the Govt. Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with immediate effect.
The third notification said that the disciplinary proceedings under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Nawaz Ali Shaikh, Superintendent (BS-16), Regional Tax Office, Karachi (presently posted in Directorate of Internal Audit (Customs), Lahore) vide Charge Sheet No.2/6/2011-M-III dated 19.04.2013. Dr Shamsul Hadi, Additional Commissioner, RTO, Karachi was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct inquiry on account of various acts of omission and commission committed by the accused officer constituting Inefficiency, Misconduct and Corruption.
The Member (Admn) being the Authority in this case, after having considered all aspects of the case and the recommendations of Authorized Officer has therefore imposed the major penalty of "dismissal from service" upon Nawaz Ali Shaikh, Superintendent under rule 4(1)(b)(iv) of the Govt. Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 with immediate effect.
As per fourth notification, whereas disciplinary proceedings under Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 were initiated against Shahid ul Hassan, Inspector, Model Customs Collectorate of Preventive, Lahore vide Charge Sheet No.17(13)Cus-III/2013 dated 04.11.2013. Saira Agha, Additional Collector, Collectorate of Customs (Adjudication), Lahore was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct inquiry on account of various acts of omission and commission committed by the accused officer constituting Inefficiency and Misconduct.
