NAB recovers Rs 1.2 million from the accused

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recovered Rs 1.2 million each from Ali Akbar and Syed Younis Shah Training Coordinators of FATA Rural Development Project of Bajour and Mohmand Agency. An investigation against officers / officials of FRDP is in progress at NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the allegations of embezzlement in procurement of material of tool kits.
The accused persons entered into Plea Bargain with NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and are deemed convicted as per NAO, 1999. They will face all the repercussions of offence except imprisonment. Moreover, the accused persons will neither be able to hold any Public Office nor will be able to take any loan from any Bank for next 10 years.
NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is actively pursuing the case and in case of failure of accused in returning the embezzled amount, arrests and subsequent filling of reference is on cards.
