A bomb weighing two-and-a-half kilo grams was defused in Qalandaria Chowk area of North Nazimabad, here on Saturday. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) recovered the bomb in a bag with "Bar-e-Saghir al Qaeda" written on it. According to the deputy inspector general (DIG) west, at least two suspects were arrested. "Police and Rangers were the target of this remote controlled device," he added. Police also awarded Rs 50, 000 to the informant, who was a police official.
