Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) will recruit 1,042 teachers for its institutes across the province of the Punjab. The induction will be made for the teaching posts from grade 14 to 17. Chairperson Tevta Irfan Qaiser Shaikh stated this while addressing the meeting regarding recruitment of new teachers in Tevta Institutes.
The meeting was attended by Chief Operating Officer Tevta Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, General Manager Operations Hamid Ghani Anjum, General Manager Academics Azhar Iqbal Shad, General Manager Human Resource Management Ijaz Hamid, General Manager Service Centers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana and other officers.
Irfan said that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had allowed recruitment of new teaching staff which will be helpful to meet the shortage of faculty in Tevta institutes. The new induction of teaching staff will facilitate to appoint deserving, dynamic and intelligent people. The recruitment policy is based on the distribution of 100 marks. Educational qualification shall carry 65 percent marks, higher education 10 marks, 20 percent marks for general test conducted by NTS Islamabad and interview has only five percent marks.
The new induction will raise the standard of technical education and vocational training system of our institutes. It would also be helpful in reducing unemployment across the province. Jawad Ahmed Qureshi while briefing the recruitment procedure to chairperson Tevta said that test will be held at all districts headquarters, tehsil and other places indicated subject to the number of candidates.
Applications will be submitted directly to National Testing Service Headquarter Islamabad on prescribed form. Last date to submit application is January 30. Candidates having domicile of Punjab will be eligible to apply. Maximum age limit will be 35 years for male candidates and 38 years for female candidates.
