A delegation of senior diplomats of friendly countries called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan here at Governor's house Peshawar on Saturday and expressed deep sympathies and solidarity over the tragic incident of Army Public School in Peshawar.
The delegation included the ambassadors of South Korea, Netherlands, Australia, Germany, UAE, KSA, Turkey, UK and France. Secretary Law & Order FATA, Shakil Qader was also present on this occasion. The delegate appreciated the sacrifices of young students and expressed their solidarity with the bereaved families of students and staff members of army public school Peshawar.
Talking on this occasion, the Governor thanked the distinguished guests for visiting to Peshawar after the tragic incident which has shocked the entire world. He stated that the spirit of association which international community has expressed is a source of encouragement and we as a nation are committed to root out the menace of terrorism. The Governor said, terrorism is not only the issue of Pakistan but it is a common issue of both Afghanistan and Pakistan and our government has a very clear appraisal of the ground realities and now we are committed to restore peace in the entire region. He said we are grateful to international community for joining us in this hour of trial and grief.
The Governor said Pakistan is committed to fighting terrorism as terrorism and extremism is not only the issue of Pakistan rather it is an international issue and urged the international community to come forward to restore peace and root out the terrorism through joint efforts and cooperation for a more effective fight against this menace in the world.
He said after Peshawar School terrorism incident entire nation stands united to fully uproot the menace of terrorism and extremism. The governor told the delegation that the experienced team of doctors has been serving to overcome the post incident traumatic stress disorder from the affected children of army public school.
