Third anniversary of Arfa Karim observed

The 3rd anniversary of Arfa Karim, youngest World Microsoft certified professional was observed here. In this connection, a function of the district government was held here. The DCO Noorul Amin Mengal accompanied with Colonel Amjad Karim father of the late Arfa Karim.
At the inaugural ceremony, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and Colonel Amjad Karim and a large number of businessmen along with PML-N leader Irfan Manan appreciated the role of late Arfa Karim in the World Microsoft history. The DCO said that under the order of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shairf the name of Chak No 4/J.B Ram Dewali has already been renamed as Arfa Karim Nagar. He said that this village has been declared as a model village where educational and health facilities and other basic amenities will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 150 million.
He said that Arfa Karim in her youngest age had raised the name of Pakistan in the World history after attaining the World Microsoft Professional Certification. Colonel Amjad Karim father of Arfa Karim thanked DCO for taking pain in getting the status of Chak Ramdewali as a model village. Meanwhile, a seminar was also held here at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium under the joint arrangements of City District Government and Faisalabad Arts Council to pay tribute to late Arfa Karim.
The seminar was presided over by DCO Noorul Amin Mengal while MPA Sh Ejaz Ahmad was the chief guest on the occasion. The parents of Arfa Karim Colonel Amjad Karim and Ms Samina Karim also participated in the seminar. Besides others, a large number of students were present on the occasion. Addressing the seminar, the DCO saluted Arfa Karim and her achievements in information technology and said that Arfa Karim was a name of a philosophy and spirit which should be followed by our new generation for achieving command on the science and technology.
Other speakers also spoke on the occasion and said that Arfa Karim achieved World title of Microsoft Certified Professional in her minor age and raised the name of Pakistan in the comity of the World. They paid rich tributes to the Arfa Karim. Later the participants of the seminar went to graveyard at Chak No 4 Arfa Karim Nagar and laid a floral wreath on the grave of Arfa Karim and offered Fateha for her soul.
