Minister of State for Water and Power, Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali suspended three SDOs and several officials of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) over corruption charges and negligence during a Khuliketchery held on Thursday at Punjab House Rawalpindi. According to a press release, hundreds of complainants rushed to the Punjab House for redressal of their problems where all SDOs and XENs called to respect public complaints on the spot.
Minster of State for Water and Power, Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali said that on directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to address the public complaints at their door steps the series of country wide Khuliketchery is being held.
In this regard this is 6th Khuliketchery, being held at Punjab Rawalpindi. Earlier Khuliketchery has been held in Gujranwala, Haiderabad, Multan Lahore and Sargodha in which more then 62 officials including XENs, SDOs and other officials have been suspended due to their alleged involvement in corruption over complaints of public.
He directed all officers of IESCO to insure their presence at their offices to give passionate hearing to public complaints and stern action would be taken if any officer is found away during the said time without any solid reason.-PR
