An anti-terrorism court (ATC) here on Saturday handed down death penalty on seven counts to a member of defunct Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Muawaya for his role in two deadly attacks at worship places of Jamaat-i-Ahmedia in Ghari Shahu and Model Town. At least 84 persons were killed with over 100 injured in the suicide-cum-firing assaults on the worship places in 2010. The defunct outfit had taken the responsibility of the attacks. The court also announced life imprisonment on nine counts to another accused Abdullah.
