The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan against constitution of military courts. The petition through bar president stated that the Constitution of Pakistan did not provide any room for military courts. It pleaded that the parliament could not make any legislation contrary to the spirit of the Constitution.
It said that the political parties sitting in the parliament by endorsing the 21 Amendment deviated from the basic structure of the Constitution. The bar therefore prayed to the court to strike down the 21 Amendment.
