Senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has categorically denied that he is a candidate for Senate seat. Hashmi said he had sacrificed for the system of democracy instead of getting benefits and offices in the parliament.
Speaking to journalists at a memorial ceremony for APS Peshawar martyrs, Hashmi said he was not a candidate for Senate elections, but he would continue his struggle for the stability of democracy. He paid great tribute to the martyred children and said the children had sacrificed for the betterment of nation.
