Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Kamran Michael has appreciated the management of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) for timely completion of reconstruction of eight berths of Karachi Port. The Minister was chairing a meeting here at KPT Head Office on Wednesday, which discussed and reviewed the ports' on-going projects. Federal Secretary for Ports and Shipping, Khalid Pervez was also present, according to a press release issued by KPT.
During the meeting the Chairman KPT Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed, briefed the Minister about the infrastructure and facilities available at port to facilitate port users as well as the projects that the port has so far initiated. Later, the Minister and Chairman KPT took round of the port to observe on-going port operations and the work in progress at deep water container port.-PR
