The Provincial Development Working Party Punjab approved five development schemes of various development Sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 12.8 billion including Integrated reproductive Maternal New-born & Child Health (RMNCH) & Nutrition Program at Cost of Rs 9135.006 million on Wednesday. These schemes were approved in the 34th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2014-15.
Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to Spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
1. Construction of Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery Block at B.V. Hospital Bahawalpur. (Revised) at Cost of Rs 1491.089 million,
2. Construction of THQ Hospital Sarai Alamgir, District Gujrat at Cost of Rs 229.497 million,
3. Integrated reproductive Maternal New-born & Child Health (RMNCH) & Nutrition Program at Cost of Rs 9135.006 million,
4. Construction of Flood Embankments and Protection Works along left and right Bank of River Indus for Bridge near Miranpur Linkage N-5 at Arbi Tibba with Rahimyarkhan Iqbalabad at Cost of Rs 866.896 million and;
5. Dualization of Lahore-Faisalabad-Jhang-Bhakkar Road (Section Faisalabad By-Pass Sadar Chowk to Jhang City Phase-I) from km No 155.75 to 170.45, up-to (M-4) length=14.70 km, Faisalabad at Cost of Rs 1081.994 million.
