Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Mian Muhammad Adrees has appointed Ahmad Jawad as chairman of FPCCI's standing committee on "Horticulture, Agriculture Products and Food Exports" for the year 2015. Harvest Tradings Director Ahmad Jawad brings his vast experience in the horticulture sector - having served as Manager Pakistan in Danish know-how and export portfolio in ICCI.
Jawad said Pakistan have a numerous potential in the agri-sector especially in horticulture. The world horticulture market is valued at $80 billion to which Pakistan contributes only a meager amount which is unfortunate. Being Chairman of the FPCCI Standing Committee, I will forward my different recommendations and plan of action to the President of FPCCI and government departments to treat this sector as industry and provide infrastructure especially in value addition so that post-harvest losses may curtail and farmers of this country may get good rates of their respective yields.
