An importer in the United Arab Emirates purchased about 40,000 tonnes of wheat, 20,000 tonnes of feed barley and 15,000 tonnes of soyameal in a tender which closed last week, European traders said on Tuesday. The purchase involved 15,000 tonnes of Australian hard wheat, 10,000 tonnes of Australian white wheat and 20,000 tonnes of Australian barley, traders said. Some 15,000 tonnes of Canadian hard wheat and 15,000 tonnes of Brazilian high protein soyameal were also purchased, they said.
