KP Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao has said that war on terror has caused immense financial and precious human losses in KP. He stated this while addressing a public gathering at village Sherpao Charsadda here on Friday. On this occasion the preparations for the 40th death anniversary of KP's former Governor Hayat Muhammad Khan Sherpao were also reviewed.
While paying glowing tributes to Shaheed leader, Sherpao Junior said that Hayat Sherpao enabled the poor classes to struggle against political dominance of the affluent classes and fight against all social odds. He said that the process of the sacrifices and struggled started by Hayat Sherpao had turned into a mass movement in shape of QWP that was working for the rights of Pakhtuns. QWP leader regretted that over 50,000 Pakhtuns had sacrificed their lives and their properties had been destroyed and forced tens of thousand Pakhtuns to live in hapless conditions in camps but unfortunately the government has ignored their plight.
