Despite ban, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to croon for ‘Namaste England’
Despite the ban on Pakistani artists, Bollywood has once again chosen Pakistani singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam to lend their voice for one of their much anticipated movie ‘Namaste England’.
Rahat and Atif continue to be hot favourites across the border. Both the singers will croon in the upcoming movie starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. According to Mumbai Mirror, Rahat has teamed up with ace lyricist Javed Akhtar for an upcoming number that will be featured in Vipul Shah’s 'Namaste England'.
Talking about it, composer Mannan Shah said, “It’s sheer pleasure to have recorded ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’ with Rahat sahab, I’ve always been a big fan of his voice”. Earlier, he sang ‘Main Jahan Rahoon’ in ‘Namaste London’.
On the other hand, Atif will also sing a special number in the movie. “Atif was always my first choice for ‘Tere Liye’. I adore his voice and he’s sung a quintessential romantic song. Javed sahab has written a wonderful song and it’s one of his personal favourites too,” Shah said. Atif Aslam recently sang ‘Dil Diyyan Gallan’ from ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which was a massive hit.
Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor have replaced Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as the lead pair in ‘Namaste England', the sequel of 'Namaste London'. The film will hit cinemas on October 19.
