Rangers arrested a target killer involved in May 12, 2007 arson and killings during a targeted action, here on Sunday. Rangers spokesman said that a team of paramilitary troops conducted search operation in Mehmoodabad locality of Karachi.
During the operation, an accused, Abdul Rafiq alias "Kayan" was arrested and arms were recovered from his possession.
In the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed his involvement in May 12, incident, serving for land grabbers groups, target killings and affiliation with target killer team led by Amir alias Dawani of Manzoor Colony. The accused also admitted providing shelter to target killers involved in murder of citizens in the metropolis.
The spokesman said that the accused would be produced in the court on Monday to obtain his physical remand and more revelations were expected.
