Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Haider Abbas Rizvi has rejected the Joint Investigation Team's (JIT) report on Baldia Town factory fire declaring it a conspiracy against his party. Addressing a press conference at Nine Zero on Sunday, Rizvi said that his party condemned the "shameful conspiracy", saying that JIT's report was baseless and based on hearsay.
The MQM leader lamented that no challan was presented against the man, who supposedly made these allegations.
"I am the mastermind of the Ashura bombing according to a JIT which quoted Ajmal Pahari in its report," he said.
Speaking on this occasion, senior MQM leader Farooq Satttar said that there was no legal importance of the JIT, which was based on hearsay.
Dr Sattar explained, "I have never seen more useless JIT than that of Baldia Town factory fire." The MQM leader blamed that the allegations levelled in the JIT were obtained from the suspect after a third-degree torture.
