Justin Bieber gets engaged to model Hailey Baldwin
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got engaged over this weekend at a resort in Bahamas. The Canadian singer reportedly popped the question to Baldwin on Saturday night.
TMZ presented an account of two eyewitnesses, who claimed that everyone was at a restaurant on the property doing salsa dancing when Justin's security told everyone to put their phones away, because something special was about to happen. Justin then proposed to Baldwin in front of everyone.
Another source with knowledge of the situation also confirmed to TMZ that Justin and Hailey did, in fact, get engaged Saturday night. Confirmation of the engagement is yet to come from the couple themselves, though CNN said it had also verified the news.
Excited for the next chapter of his life, Justin’s father Jeremy Bieber also posted a photo on Instagram saying, “Justin Bieber proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”.
Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette, also seemed to confirm the news on Twitter, saying, “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love.”
Bieber and Baldwin dated previously but split in 2016. Bieber famously dated Selena Gomez from 2010 to 2012 and sparked rumors of a reunion again last year but broke up again.
