The Vet Crescent Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised a seminar on "Wildlife" here Friday. Dr Asim Khalid Mahmood of Pet Centre delivered a lecture on snakes in which he spoke about various shades of a snake life, its species and anatomy. Dr Ziaullah Mughal and Dr Samuel Shahzad also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Department of Parasitology arranged a lecture on "Requirements of Integrity and Bioethics of Research in Public/Private Universities, Healthcare Labs and Pharmaceutical Industries". Zohaib Sayed, a doctoral scholar in genetics and genomics in biological chemistry from the Medical University Innesburk Austria delivered the lecture. Students and faculty members attended the lecture.
While the Still and Film (SAF) Society of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore arranged a "Light up for Peace 2015" in solidarity with the victims of Army Public School Peshawar attack. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha inaugurated the event by lighting a sky-lantern. Senior Tutor Professor Dr Kamran Ashraf, faculty members and students attended the event in large numbers. The students lit sky-lanterns in memory of the APS Peshawar attack victims and presented a tablue and a skit on peace. Musical performances by singer Amanat Ali and Soch Band also featured the event.
