Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will introduce 31 new demand driven short courses in next phase. The next phase shall start after successful completion of current session of short courses. These new short courses are being started after getting final recommendations of experts of relevant industry after series of meetings.
It was stated by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Shaikh while meeting four members delegation of All Pakistan Papers Merchants Association (APMA) here yesterday at TEVTA Secretariat. The delegation comprised of Khawaja Khamis Saeed Butt, Mian Amjad Hussain, Fahim Bari and Ahmad Ashiq. Irfan Qaiser Shaikh said that TEVTA will introduce four short courses in garment, nine in services, two in pharmaceutical, two in electrical, two in auto, two in agriculture, five in construction, two in manufacturing, one in solar, one in baking and one in plastic sector.
The syllabus of these courses has been prepared in consultation with experts of concerned industries. Chairperson TEVTA said that TEVTA is concentrating to introduce short courses on those sectors where trained manpower is required. After getting training, skilled youth will easily get job in the relevant industry. TEVTA will also introduce new short courses for printing and paper industry after getting their final recommendations.
