Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is all set to launch a campaign called "Clean and Green City" from Monday. A spokesman for the KMC said that Administrator Karachi Saqib Soomro has set up a number of teams and around 5,000 officers and field workers will take part in the campaign which is aimed at making the city clean and green.
"All the heads of the teams have been directed to utilise entire manpower and machinery for ensuring visible change in the metropolis," the spokesman said, adding that the administrator has also instructed the officials of KMC's Technical Services department to expeditiously complete repairing and construction of roads and pavements.
Meanwhile, KMC Administrator on Sunday visited different parts of the city to check pace of work currently under way on different development projects which include construction of roads, corridors, flyovers and bridges.
