A motorcycle bomb Sunday killed an eight-year old boy and wounded six other people in Chaman, officials said. The bomb went off in a main market street in the border town of Chaman, which faces Afghanistan's town of Spin Boldak and has seen several bomb and suicide attacks in the past.
"An eight-year old boy was killed and six others were wounded when a bomb planted on a motorcycle exploded in Taj Bazaar," local police station chief Agha Mohammad told AFP. It was not clear who was behind the attack.
Provincial home secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani confirmed the bombing and casualties. Durrani said four of the wounded had been discharged from hospital after treatment.
