Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar is expected to visit Pakistan in the first week of March as part of his South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) countries' trip, officials at the Foreign Office said. An official of the Foreign Office who declined to be named told Business Recorder, the Indian Foreign Secretary who is expected to reach Islamabad in the first week of the next month will hold talks with Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry.
The official said the agenda of the meeting is yet to be finalised, but he added that all issues between the two countries would come under discussion during the meeting including the Kashmir dispute. "All issues of mutual interests, including the Kashmir dispute usually come under discussion whenever there is high level contacts between the two countries," the official said, adding Pakistan stands ready to resume the dialogue process with India on all issues, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. The latest development took place following Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's telephonic call to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif earlier this month and it was announced that the Indian Foreign Secretary would visit Islamabad.
