Ameer, Jamaat e Islami Pakistan, Siraj-ul-Haq, has termed the use of wealth in the Senate elections as political terrorism and has urged all political parties to unite against the menace. He was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by the Pakistani community in holy Madina, said an information released to media here on Wednesday.
The JI chief said that the Pakistanis working abroad were a great national asset as they were earning enormous amount of foreign exchange and remitting that to the country and this money was playing an important role in the country's development. He called upon the government to grant the right of vote to the overseas Pakistanis. He said that several countries had already given this right to their citizens working abroad. However, the Pakistan government was delaying the matter for unknown reasons.
