PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary has said that Punjab is the epicentre of banned outfits and a strict cleanout operation against sectarian groups is the need of the hour. He said that government has confessed that banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi was involved in the latest sectarian attacks in the country. He said these incidents could have been avoided if the Punjab government had taken action against banned outfits.
"It is reluctant to take any action against all those who are fuelling sectarian violence in the country," he claimed. PTI secretary general Yasmin Rashid said without tackling banned organisations nothing will change on a national level and the government needs to understand this if they want real implementation of National Action Plan.
She said the government needs to take the responsibility and all the criminals who are behind the sectarian violence should be arrested soon. PTI information secretary Andleeb Abbas said the government should consider this matter seriously to stop banned outfits from carrying out any activity to restore peace in the country.
