Saudi Arabia is launching new construction projects to help improve the life of the people of Pakistan affected by recent floods in their areas here on Thursday. The construction projects which would be completed in the flood-hit areas include schools (07), basic health units (02), low cost houses (191), and water supply schemes (23).
The task of constructional projects would be accomplished through a Saudi Organisation "King Abdullah's Relief Campaign for Pakistani People (KARCPP)". The construction work on improving the infrastructure of the affected districts would be started soon with a cost of Rs 395.2 million rupees, Dr Khalid M Al-Othmani, the Regional Director of King Abdullah Relief Campaign for Pakistani People (KARCPP) said.
He also said the team of KARCPP with the co-operation of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), would build the above mentioned projects in Muzaffargarh, Ranjanpur, DG Khan, Mianwali, Khanewal, Bahawalpur and Layyah areas, to express solidarity with the victims of the calamity hit families of Pakistan.
He added that similar projects would also be started in other provinces of Pakistan to facilitate the people affected by natural calamity in their areas. Saudi Arabia had announced to launch relief and construction projects worth millions of US dollars which would be completed under the supervision of Muhammad Bin Naif, the second Crown Prince, Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia and Patron-in-Chief of KARCPP, he said.-PR
