The Ministry of Interior has demanded Rs 19.998 billion for 105 ongoing and 151 new projects for the next financial year (2015-16). According to a document submitted by Ministry of Interior to National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control, the Interior Ministry and its attached departments have demanded Rs 19.998 billion for 256 new and old projects for the next financial year 2015-16 for incorporation in Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
The ministry has demanded Rs 201.684 million for six ongoing and six new schemes of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA Rs 1655.589 million has been demanded for four ongoing and seven new projects of National Police Bureau. Under the budget proposal, Rs 1691.298 millions have been demanded for a single project Safe City Islamabad project of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA.) According to the budget proposals of Ministry of Interior Rs 1681.147 millions have been demanded for two ongoing schemes of Immigration and Passport I&P Directorate and 218.131 billion has demanded for on-going and seven new scheme of civil defence.
Ministry of Interior has demanded Rs 558.517 million for seven ongoing and 11 new schemes for Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Rs 1584.471 for four ongoing schemes and four new schemes. Rs 1332.807 has been demanded for eight ongoing and 18 new projects of FC Balochistan, and 10 on-going and eight new projects of FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rs 1541.649 millions have been demanded.
The Interior Ministry has demanded Rs 730.042 for eight ongoing and six new schemes of Frontier Constabulary and Rs 307.425 has been demanded for four ongoing and four new projects of Pakistan Coast Guards. Rupees 506.300 million has been demanded for 10 ongoing and six new schemes of Gilgit Baltistan Scouts. Interior Ministry has demanded Rs 7989.696 million for 40 on-going schemes and 81 new schemes of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration.
The meeting which met with Rana Shamim Ahmad Khan in the chair approved the budget proposals of Ministry of Interior for financial year 2015-14. MNA Ghalib Khan, Sheikh Muhammad Akram, Syed Iftikhar ul Hassan, Nauman Islam Shaikh, Nawab Muhammad Yousaf Talpur, Naeem Kishwar Khan, Syed Asif Hasnain, Sher Akbar Khan, Makhdoom Syed Ali Hassan Gilani and senior official of Ministry of Interior also attended the meeting.
