Lahore police on Saturday claimed to have solved the mysterious murder case of Abeera aka Areeba as key suspect Tooba confessed to poisoning her and another man named Yousuf. Areeba, student of the Punjab University, had a passion of becoming a model which is why she went to meet Tooba, a make-up artist, in Johar Town on January 12 where she was killed.
During a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Rana Ayaz Saleem revealed that the suspect, Tooba aka Uzma Rao, had not good relations with her husband Babar Javed Butt after the demise of her younger daughter. The SSP disclosed that Tooba admitted of having illicit relations with her husband's friend Yousuf and killed her husband by giving him toxic juice. She had also made relation with Farooq who introduced her with a man named Zeeshan. On the identification of Tooba, police officers apprehended Farooq and started investigation from both the suspects.
