VLC's Videoplayer is once more available for iOS devices. People who had previously used the programme, which helps to view various video formats, can now download the new version, 2.4.1. However, it might be a while until the programme regularly appears in searches on the iTunes store.
A favourite with users, which is also available in Mac and Windows versions, it disappeared from distribution with no warning in 2014. Licensing problems were cited at the time as the problem.
