Over 2100 candidates appeared in the entry test conducted at Public School, Latifabad, for admission in Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam for 2014-15. The candidates for admissions in Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri and Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology also appeared in the test. The University has made a district-wise allocation of 1,500 seats, offering for admission to its five faculties and two institutes and colleges situated at Dokri and Khairpur Mirs. A total of 2188 candidates appeared including 177 female candidates, in which 1134 candidates were from Pre-Engineering and 1047 from Pre-Medical.
The five faculties include Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural Social Science, Crop Production and Crop Protection while two institutes are Information Technology Centre and Institute of Food Sciences and Technology, and two affiliated colleges, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri and Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.
Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion, including Walk-through gates, a large number of police and Rangers personnel were deployed and officials from District Administration visited the venue. Dr Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam visited centre. While talking to the media persons Dr Sahrai said that the test has been conducted in peaceful atmosphere.
He said that many Institutions are organising their entry tests through their team, which is successful experience.
