Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said Pakistan is making sincere efforts to develop cordial relations with the neighbouring countries. In an interview, he said India should also show serious attitude for maintaining peace in the region. He said terrorism was an international problem and Pakistan had rendered a lot of sacrifices in war against the menace.
The Defence Minister said India wanted to keep Pakistan engaged in a "low-intensity war" on its eastern border. He said the government was involving international players to play their role for resolving Kashmir issue. Khawaja Asif said the armed forces of Pakistan were fully capable to respond any aggression effectively and protect the geographical boundaries of Pakistan, adding that operation Zarb-e-Azb was moving ahead successfully and the entire nation was supporting it for peace on permanent bases.
