Information Technology University (ITU) organised Robotics Exhibition, Machines of the Future: Robots, on Monday, March 2. These innovative inventions have been designed and built by ITU's under graduate students, having taken a solitary introductory electronics course. Vice Chancellor, ITU, Dr Umar Saif was chief guest of closing ceremony.
In concluding remarks, Dr Umar Saif shared that ITU is trying to build leadership in IT field. The faculty is coming with rich ideas and focused to bring innovation among young students. Pakistan IT academic institutions must prepare their graduates to compete in international market, Dr Umar Saif said. Among the projects, displayed in the exhibition were Ro-boat, Gesture-controlled Robot, Spy Robot, Cellphone controlled Robo Car, Robotic Arm, Lift Control Robot, Fire Extinguisher Robot, Social Trashbin and Wireless Bomb Disposal Robot.
The guest of honour for the event is Dr Osama Hasan, the founder and director of the System Analysis and Verification (SAVe) Lab, who will be interacting with the robot-builders during the exhibition. Vice Chancellor, ITU, Dr Umar Saif will inaugurate the Robotics Expo.
