A delegation from Thailand Board of Investment (BoI) visited Punjab Board of Investment (PBIT) Office here on Monday. Executive Director, Thai Board of Investment, Thailand Siriporn Nurgsa highlighted the activities, different sectors of investment of Thai BoI. She unleashed that besides different sectors of investment, Thai BoI is focusing on the investments in the sectors of agriculture and energy.
She also informed that Thailand has expertise in automobile industry, value addition in food processing and packaging and technology. She proposed that Thai BoI and PBIT may engage positively in different areas of mutual interest and sharing of information in order to explore investment opportunities in Thailand and Pakistan. PBIT officials were also extended an invitation by Thai BoI and assured some meeting with Ministry of Industry which would enable PBIT to provide knowledge about investment opportunities in Thailand.
DG Projects and Policy Research PBIT Lubna Pathan appreciated the vision and efforts of Thai BoI for the promotion of investment related activities in Thailand. She also informed the Thai delegates about the Investment Conference being organised by PBIT in May 2015 and extended an invitation to Thai businessmen.

Lawan Chankasem, General Manager, Finance and Accounting department, Ogihara Thailand Co Ltd, Donnawad Luesawad, Thai Overseas Investment Promotion Division and Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Thia BoI.
