Small traders on Monday urged the government to reform taxation system to help the business community. Vice Chairman of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mirza Ali Ahmed, Chairman of Markazi Anjuman Tajiran Khawaja Muhammad Shafiq, Traders Chamber's President Khalid Mehmood Qureshi said that the country needs basic reforms in its taxation system and an end to coercive tactics by tax collectors which hinder business growth in the country.
There is a need to introduce a facilitating tax system to help the small traders, they said. "They slammed the provincial government for not paying attention to the civic infrastructure which continued to cause huge financial losses to the small businesses.
