The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday sought replies from the federation and District Magistrate relating to the detention orders for the alleged mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attacks Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi. Issuing notices to federation and district magistrate Islamabad, a single-member bench of Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi also directed the concerned authorities to avoid registering any case against Lakhvi without intimation to the court.
During the course of hearing, Rizwan Abbasi, the counsel for Lakhvi, informed the court that for the third time his client had been issued detention orders.
The hearing of case was adjourned till March 5.
