The polling for Senate elections is being held today (Thursday). The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has notified that the polling for the Senate elections will be held at Parliament House, Islamabad and at the four provincial assemblies. The ECP has announced that Senate elections will be held through secret ballot.
The election commission has directed the Returning Officers to ensure that the secrecy of the ballot is not violated by the voters. The commission has also asked the members of the national and provincial assemblies not to take mobile phones or any other electronic gadget with them which can be used for taking photographs.
