Thrilling events of 1st National Women and Inter Provincial Road Cycling Championship are in progress at Chak Shahzad Islamabad. On the first day of the championship, two events ie 25km team time trial was won by Wapda. They covered 25km distance in 51 minutes and 06 seconds and 81 points whereas Islamabad secured second position and their time was 56 minutes and 08 seconds and 15 points.
Army won third position and covered the distance in 01 hour and 06 minutes and 29 seconds. The second event was 10km Individual Time Trial which was won by Nadine Gill of Islamabad. She covered the distance in 15 minutes and 21 seconds and 95 Points, Nadine Gill is an international player and permanent resident of Pakistan and doing job in Pakistan and she participated from Islamabad Cycling Association.
Whereas Rajia Shabbir of Sui Southern Gas Company secured second position and her times was 15 minutes and 45 seconds and 20 Points. Third position is won by Rahila Bano of Wapda her time was 17 minutes 29 seconds and 10 Points. However two Inter-Provincial events was also conducted on the first day of championship that is Inter Provincial 10km Team Time Trial and Inter Provincial 10km Individual Time Trial Inter Provincial Team Time Trial was won by Punjab their time was 24 minutes 29 seconds and 27 Points, Second position is secured by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and their time was 25 minutes and 45 seconds and 87 Points. Balochistan won 3rd Position and their time was 28 minutes and 16 seconds and 84 Points. Whereas in Inter Provincial 10km Individual Time trial was won by Sidra from Punjab and her time was 18 minutes and 40 seconds and 50 Points, and second Position is also won by Punjab's Sonia Hameed her time was 21 minutes and 45 seconds and 44 Points, whereas third position is won by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Nazia. She completed the event in 22 minutes and 27 seconds and 14 Points.
