MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has demanded the Prime Minister to get the consensus of the PIA employees prior to the privatisation of the national institution. Talking to a delegation of PIA employees at London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that during the process, employees' stakes should be respected because most of the employees were against the privatisation. He said that PIA needed an active and hardworking Chief Executive to take the institution towards progress.
Hussain said that the employees should not be hired on the basis of friendship, nepotism and political affiliations but for the sake of the country's goodwill. He said that he knew about the anxiety among the employees regarding the privatisation of PIA. He demanded the Prime Minister to avoid any decision that hurts employees interests.
