Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the government is committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism and extremism from the country, and is providing funds for the capacity building of PAF, which is playing a vital role in this regard. Chief of the Air staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM House.
Professional matters relating to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) came under discussion during the meeting. The Prime Minister appreciated the role being played by PAF in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Latest high-tech inductions in PAF would further enhance the capabilities of defence forces, he said.
The Air Chief thanked the Prime Minister for taking personal interest in matters related to future development of PAF. Meanwhile, Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM House. Professional matters relating to Pakistan Navy including capacity building of its personnel came under discussion.
