Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Major General Asghar Nawaz inaugurated the 11th International Safety and Security Equipment & Training Industry Exhibition on Tuesday. The three-day event taking place at Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony, the NDMA chairman said that "Being a disaster managers, we cannot prevent the disasters but the risk of happening can be reduced with better preparation in response to its effects, country is in security crises and this exhibition is a timely effort." Chairman NDMA, appreciated the role of organiser, Pegasus Consultancy by bringing together 250 companies from 31 different countries.
Dr Rizwan Naseer, Director General, Punjab Emergency Services & Emergency Services Academy, guest of honor, appreciated the role of Rescue 1122. "The have managed thousands of fire incidents successfully, but we still need more professionalism in the safety and security industry", he added.
In his welcome address Managing Director, Pegasus Consultancy Aamer Khanzada extended his pride for 11 years of success of Safe Secure Pakistan. He said that this exhibition is aimed to address the safety and security needs of the region by bringing together major international and local exhibitors to display latest technology and advancement of homeland security, workplace safety, fire-fighting, mobility, rescue and emergency."
More than 250 companies from 31 different countries, including, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Korea, Malaysia, Norway, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, UK, and USA, are displaying their brands at the Safe Secure International exhibition. Later, Chairman, NDMA, along with the guests of honours and other dignitaries visited various stalls after formally inaugurating the show.-PR
