Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt together visited North Waziristan Agency Thursday. According to DG ISPR, Major General Asim Salim Bajwa, they were briefed about the operation Zarb-e-Azb. They reviewed the progress on the operation and future plans. They also met with troops deployed in the battle ground.
Raheel Sharif appreciated the efficacy of use of air power with ground operations. He said that terrorists will be chased and targeted. He reaffirmed commitment to eliminate all terrorists. The army chief directed all concerned to prepare for dignified return of Temporarily Displaced Persons to their homes. Return in South Waziristan Agency will commence on 17th and in North Waziristan Agency on 31st of this month.
