As many as 61 people including children on Friday sustained multiple injuries during kite flying in the different parts of the city. People in Rawalpindi celebrated Basant in the various parts of the city by using metal string and resorted aerial firing as a result over 61 people sustained injuries. People who were injured during kite flying related incidents shifted to city different hospitals.
According to doctors the condition of one injured is critical whose throat slashed by metal twine. Earlier, during Basant night, a young man Ahmed Khan died after falling from the rooftop in the limits of Waris Khan police station whereas two other people reportedly injured. Among injured, 13 sustained bullets wounds being fired by kite flyers. Meanwhile police conducted raids and rounded up the kite sellers and flyers on directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi.
