Korean Ambassador in Pakistan Dr Song Jong Hwan has said that Korean companies are bringing Korean agricultural crops and technology to Pakistan aiming at making analysis of the cropping, harvesting and handling techniques to explore new joint ventures.
During a meeting with University of Agriculture (UAF) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan here on Friday, the Korean Ambassador mentioned that a Korean organisation Oaks-CAF is planting saplings of various vegetables, fruits and fodders at UAF Farms on trail basis to witness the growth potential in Pakistan.
Dr Song Jong Hwan, praising the leadership skills of UAF VC said that UAF blessed with such a leader with enormous potential and energy to work for good cause. He vowed to address the University Students in near future to give them a brief introduction about the Korea and its initiatives that led the country towards development and prosperity.
Visiting the livestock farmers participating in the cattle show at UAF, he vowed to send the winning farmer to Korea to exchange his skills with Korean cattle farmers. Briefing about the University, Dr Iqrar said a Korean expert Shin Sang Chull was undertaking various experiments at UAF Farms by brining and planting Korean sapling to analyses the growth potential and production that would be shared with UAF experts. He said that UAF has signed an MoU with University of Yenugnam, Korea to collaborate in the areas of research, knowledge exchange programme for rural and agriculture development.
